Ashlee Simpson had a [[nose job]] ([[rhinoplasty]]) and is also rumored to have had a number of other facial procedures, including lip plumping, an [[endoscopic brow lift]] and a [[chin reduction]] ([[genioplasty]]),. Simpson has also been recently speculated to have had botox injections.  According to Dr. Jennifer Levine, "Simpson’s lack of expression and absence of creases when the singer smiles is a tell-tale sign of [[Botox]] use."  Recent photos of Ashlee Simpson show an arch in her eyebrows, another  indication of [[Botox]].  Ashlee Simpson may be competing with her sister [[Jessica Simpson]] by getting all these procedures done.
Simpson reportedly "giggled and told the Associated Press: 'Everybody's already saying it, so I just don't talk about it. I'm like, okay, whatever. It doesn't bother me,'" as she commented on her nose job. The singer was reported to have had an operation to remove a bump from her nose in April of 2006. It was just after Simpson returned from Sydney, Australia, where she hosted the MTV Australian Video Music Awards.

It seems like every one in Hollywood has announced a pregnancy this summer and as Fall arrives, so are the babies. Ashlee Simpson-Wentz and Nicole Richie are no exception to the trend, leading Make Me Heal to wonder if they have also indulged in plastic surgery mommy makeovers as well.

24-year old Ashlee gave birth to her son Bronx Mowgli Wentz last November and has already returned to her pre-pregnancy body. Given the young star’s penchant for plastic surgery, Make Me Heal immediately wondered if a plastic surgery mommy makeover, including a breast lift, tummy-tuck and liposuction was responsible for Ashley’s return to shape. Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrell J Aston says, “Ashlee Simpson has a great post-pregnancy body. I see no indication that she has had mommy makeover surgery.”

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “Ashlee has recovered well after pregnancy. I do not see any signs of surgery on her belly. Some people are blessed with good genes and, apparently, Ashlee is one of them - nose excluded.”

Although plastic surgery may not be at play this time, in the past Ashlee has had a [[rhinoplasty]], [[lip augmentation]] and possible [[Botox]] injections.

Some rather unflattering photos of new mother Ashlee Simpson-Wentz recently surfaced, leading many to speculate as to whether or not the actress has had even more plastic surgery.

At 25, Ashlee Simpson, the younger sister of Jessica Simpson has become better known for changing her appearance than she has for her entertainment talents.

Ashlee started her transformations by changing her hair color, from blonde to brunette and now she is sporting a shade of red. When haircolor wasn’t enough to set her apart from her big sister, Jessica, Ashlee began visiting a plastic surgeon to help her be different. Ashlee’s first plastic surgery procedure was likely a rhinoplasty, although she was notoriously mum on the subject of a nose job for sometime (Read Make Me Heal’s story on Ashlee Simpson’s nose job). Shortly thereafter, more cosmetic procedure rumors began to surface as Ashlee continued to change and refine her look. They included: lip plumping, an endoscopic brow lift and a chin reduction.

After that, Ashlee’s face began to appear to be slightly frozen, leading to speculation that Ashlee Simpson may be one of the youngest people ever to use Botox injections for cosmetic purposes (See Make Me Heal’s story on Ashlee Simpson’s Botox Injections).

Now more pictures have surfaced that seem to indicate Ashlee has continued to change her appearance, having a chin implant placed (which is commonly done with a nose job) as well as used additional facial fillers and Botox injections.

According to Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., “In addition to bad makeup, it looks like Ashlee’s chin is slightly broader than it used to be, leading to suspicion that a chin implant was placed in an attempt to create a softer look. Chin implants are often used when rhinoplasties are performed to balance out the face with the nose, which leads us to scrutinize the nose. From only the front angle, it’s difficult to say if anything else has been done to the nose, it looks like the tip and columella of Ashlee’s nose has been lifted up ever so slightly when compared to previous sightings. Even though a profile photograph is not present, from previous photos her hump has been reduced and the surgeon did an excellent job.”

New York plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer says, “Ashlee Simpson had a dramatic transformation several years back when she had her much needed rhinoplasty. Unfortunately, the most recent photo of her is scary. She appears to have asymmetric and overzealous injections of her lips, asymmetric brows, squareness of her chin, a new distortion to her nose and deer-in-the-headlight eyes. I agree, she should have left well enough alone. “

In addition to bad lighting and excessive make-up, Ashlee’s recent photos reveal a bizarre expression, likely caused by too much facial work. In fact, Ashlee’s overdone face have caused many to express concern for her.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “I believe that Ashlee Simpson should stop having plastic surgery and fillers otherwise she might be left with permanent damage. She is very young and already has undergone several procedures such as chin implant and rhinoplasty. Based on a recent photo she appears to have excessive filler in her mouth and even in her jowel area. It also looks like she might have had too much of Botox to her forehead and eye area. In addition to these procedures she appears to be malnourished and therefore has a sunken look. I hope that she gets the help that she needs.”

While Make Me Heal enjoys following the ever evolving looks of celebrities like Ashlee Simpson, we wish Ashlee would save some work for later, when she is old enough to actually have wrinkles to need Botox injections for.

The question is whether this wedding engagement will lead to more impending plastic surgery for Ashlee Simpson in anticipation of her big day.

In the past, Make Me Heal has given details on Ashlee’s various plastic surgeries, including a nose job, Botox, and possible other cosmetic procedures including lip plumping, an endoscopic brow lift and a chin reduction (read the full story on Ashlee Simpson’s Nose Job, Ashlee Simpson’s Botox Injections). The 23-year old singer, and sometimes actress, has also been rumored to have expressed interest in other procedures, including buttock implants.

Although her new fiancé, Fall Out Boy’s 28-year old Pete Wentz, seems to be as yet untouched by plastic surgery, Make Me Heal has reported in the past that Pete likes Ashlee’s new nose so much he has considered plastic surgery for himself (read the full story on Peter Wentz’s Nose Job).

Given Ashlee’s proclivity for changing her appearance, Make Me Heal wonders what plastic surgery she’ll undergo for her walk down the aisle, not to mention what hair color she’ll be sporting.

Ashlee Simpson may be the youngest person on the planet using Botox, at least according to what one magazine says.  The 23-year old singer has been a poster child for plastic surgery ever since going under the knife for rhinoplasty.  Now, some insiders are speculating that Ashlee is using Botox injections as frequently as once a month to achieve her “wide-eyed”, wrinkle-free look.

According to plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Levine, Simpson’s lack of expression and absence of creases when the singer smiles is a tell-tale sign of Botox use.

“When someone is smiling, certainly when they are smiling genuinely, you would expect a slight crinkle around the eyes, which I don’t see,” says Dr. Levine. “So I would have to expect that she has [Ashlee Simpson] had some Botox to that area.“

Additionally, the arch in Ashlee’s eyebrows has also been questioned as being the result of Botox.  Botox can be injected into the forehead and between the eyebrows to remove wrinkles there and achieve overly arched eybrows.

In Touch magazine claims that Simpson has been going almost every month to Dr. Raj Kanodia, the celebrity plastic surgeon who performed Ashlee’s nose job (as well as the famous noses of Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston), in order to inject botox into her forehead and around her eyes.

Predictably, Ashlee Simpson’s representative denied the allegations, claiming that Ashlee’s wide eyes and arched eyebrows were non-surgically achieved by expert makeup artists.

"Ashlee has never had Botox in her life," the rep said in a prepared written statement.  "She credits her eyebrows to her makeup artist who is a whiz with the tweezer."

Whether the Botox rumor started by In Touch is true cannot be confirmed, as without strong before and after photos it is hard to believe that such a young person would resort to Botox injections.  For the most part, Botox injections are done patients as young as late twenties.  But being that Ashlee Simpson is the person in the center of this rumor, one cannot completely dismiss the possibility of this story being true.

Earlier this year, Ashlee opened up about her plastic surgery transformation and spoke about how she did not hate her looks and was not insecure about herself before going under the knife, but that she had her nose job and other facial improvement cosmetic procedures for herself and for no one else (read Ashlee’s Plastic Surgery Story). Ashlee Simpson also defended people who have plastic surgery and believes it is a personal choice that should be undertaken only for yourself and not in reaction to pressure from others.

"I loved how I looked. I’m not an insecure person, nor was I before," Simpson said in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar. "It’s a personal choice. I believe if somebody chooses to do plastic surgery it [should be] for yourself, not for anyone else."

With the help of the knife, Jessica Simpson’s sister Ashlee has transformed from a punky, rugged looking teen to a sophisticated Hollywood young damsel.

When asked about the media having made her into a target, Ashlee Simpson simply that at the end of the day she is a happy person and does not pay attention to the negative criticism.

"I’m a happy person, and I’m happy with my looks. Everybody always has an opinion. One minute they’ll love you; one minute they’ll hate you. When you go home to sleep at night [the important thing] is to feel good about yourself. And I do."

My heart has not changed.”

We think we had a change of heart about Ashlee Simpson, who just earned our respect with this interview. Ashlee’s position on plastic surgery and her handling of her experience is mature, completely legitimate, sincere, and dare we say inspiring.
