Liza Minelli is an Academy Award and Tony Award-winning American actress and singer most famous to audiences for her role in films such as Cabaret (1972), A Matter Of Time (1976) and Arthur (1981) opposite Dudley Moore. Minnelli also achieved fame on television by appearing on her own television show "Liza With A Z" (1972) and became equally well-known for appearing in several critically-acclaimed Broadway shows such as New York, New York and A Matter Of Time. Minnelli is the daughter of tragic Wizard of Oz (1933) actress Judy Garland. Minnelli is also one of only a small number of entertainers to have won Emmy, Grammy, Oscar and Tony awards. Minnelli is a long-time, favorite icon of the gay community despite her misfortune of having wed and divorced three closeted gay men.
