Although Lily has not yet had plastic surgery, she admits she has been considering gastric bypass surgery and liposuction to lose weight, as well as numerous procedures to reshape her thighs, buttocks, knees, back and stomach. The singer wrote in her myspace.com blog "Im afraid I am not strong and have fallen victim to the evil machine. I write to you in a sea of tears from my hotel bed in Seattle, I have spent the past hour researching gastric bypass surgery, and laser liposuction."
Prior to making this statement about her interest in plastic surgery, Allen previously said that she accepted her weight and did not feel pressured to uphold certain beauty standards. Allen said "I used to pride myself on being strong minded and not being some stupid girl obsessed with the way I look . I felt like it didnt matter if I was a bit chubby cause , I'm not a model , I’m a singer."
Lily Allen has recently caught attention and controversy due to a music video that was inspired by a visit to a plastic surgeon. In the video, Lily lays on a physician's operating table and explains that she's had two children in response to a question about women's bodies.
In real life, Lily is a mother of two children who has contemplated plastic surgery after seeing the changes and negative impacts that the pregnancies have had on her body. In particular, Lily paid a visit to a plastic surgeon in 2011 who suggested that she may want to consider numerous procedures to reshape her back, buttocks, knees, thighs and stomach. While Lily ultimately decided against undergoing the knife, she admits that the pressure of looking good is still something that she thinks about.
While Lily may or may not change her mind about undergoing plastic surgery, it is not uncommon for young mothers to seek treatment or enhancements against pregnancy-induced conditions such as cellulite. Although there is no cure for cellulite, laser treatment and affordable cellulite treatments are options that Lily and many young mothers may want to consider.

Lily Allen Singing A Plastic Surgery Tune
Singer-songwriter Lily Allen has got the blues about her weight and is contemplating gastric bypass surgery and liposuction to reduce her weight. Appearing to be suffering from mental exhaustion during her American tour, the normally strong-willed 22-year old singer wrote candidly in her popular Myspace blog that her being overweight has gotten her down to the point that she started looking into weight loss surgeries such as gastric bypass surgery and liposuction.
“I used to pride myself on being strong minded and not being some stupid girl obsessed with the way I look . I felt like it didnt matter if I was a bit chubby cause I'm not a model, I’m a singer.”
Lily Allen fears that she has fallen victim to the pressures that come with fame and the need to have a certain look.
“I'm afraid I am not strong and have fallen victim to the evil machine . I write to you in a sea of tears from my hotel bed in Seattle , I have spent the past hour researching gastric bypass surgery, and laser liposuction,” wrote Allen from her hotel room in Seattle.
This disturbing statement contrasts sharply with her previous statements on her body image, which displayed her being quite comfortable in her skin. Lily Allen previously said, “I’m irritated by the emphasis on being thin. I wouldn’t swap bodies with anyone.”
Lily certainly does not need any gastric bypass surgery or liposuction, as deciding to have plastic surgery should not be done during a period of emotional turmoil. Moreover, Lily hardly fits the profile of an optimal candidate for either gastric bypass surgery or liposuction. Gastric bypass surgery is reserved for morbidly obese individuals, which Lily is far from being. Moreover, liposuction is not meant to be used for weight loss, but rather to eliminate fat in trouble areas that do not respond to natural dieting or exercise. liposuction is not a weight loss. Considering her young age, Lily can lose the weight naturally.
Lily Allen’s fans have flooded her blog in support of her and for the large part have all tried to talk her out of her idea. Allen has not yet posted a new response since her breakdown and time will show what course of action she will take.
We are optimistic that Lily will come to her senses and take the higher road, for she has been a positive role model for young women in being proud and confident of her body and not falling prey to unhealthy images of beauty.
