Paula Abdul is a former judge on American Idol, a multi-platinum Grammy-winning singer, an Emmy Award-winning choreographer, and jewelry designer who has been rumored to have undegone [[rhinoplasty (nose job)]], [[breast augmentation]], [[botox]] injections and possibly a [[brow lift]] to keep her looks from fading.

In the ever-changing world of reality TV, not much has changed on one of the genre’s most-watched shows, American Idol. That is until kooky and warm-hearted judge Paula Abdul departed from the show. While fans may be frowning, Make Me Heal thinks Paula is looking better than ever, thanks to some plastic surgery.

At 47, Paula has already worn many different hats, as a dancer, choreographer, pop star, designer and most recently America’s most beloved judge on American Idol. Now that Paul has departed AI, it seems that she as she moves on to bigger and brighter things, she has also brightened up her appearance.

Paula is likely using injections like [[Botox]] to keep her eyebrows at their peaks. She likely also uses fillers like [[Juvederm]] or [[Restylane]] in the lines to keep her face looking full of youth.

On his blog, plastic surgery Dr. Anthony Youn reveals, “Paula may have had some work done in the past. I see two major plastic surgery possibilities. First, her nose looks thinner and shorter, possibly due to a [[rhinoplasty]]. Second, her eyebrows appear to have that arched ‘Botox Brow’ look.”

New York plastic surgeon Dr David Shafer says, “In the most recent photo of Paula Abdul, she does have low medial brows and peaked lateral brows which would make one suspect [[Botox]] Cosmetic use. However, the photo also looks airbrushed or photoshopped, so it is hard to tell what is real and what is not.”

Paula may also have had a [[browlift]] to help enhance her youthful appearance and keep her eyes from looking tired.

Plastic surgeon Dr Sherrell J Aston says, “I believe that Paula still looks great and is aging very well. I suspect that she has had regular [[Botox]] and fillers like [[Restylane]] or [[Juvederm]] to maintain her looks. It is also possible that she has recently undergone a Brow lift as her upper face looks raised and wrinkle free. Ms. Abdul also maintains a healthy weight and exercise regimen, which is beneficial to staying and looking young. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors.”

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr Jennifer Walden says, “She appears to have undergone [[rhinoplasty (nasal reshaping)]], [[Botox]], facial fillers, and [[breast augmentation]].”

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Spalding Drive Cosmetic Surgery says, “Paula’s eyebrows have the arched [[botox]] brow appearance. There doesn’t seem to be any more major nose work but her cheeks are thinner and her jawline smoother. Although she may have had injectibles here, it’s more likely she’s had either a lift or lipo.”

America’s favorite American Idol judge Paula Abdul spends a lot of time in front of the camera and she may spend even more time under the knife, having plastic surgery.

Before being a judge on a talent show, 46-year old Paula was a Laker girl and choreographer. As she rose to fame, she launched her own solo career, singing and dancing and had to look the part. Looking at old photos of Paula, at some time fairly early in her quest for fame, she underwent a rhinoplasty procedure to help her look like the star she was destined to become.

Paula’s old nose was rather large and wide, while the nose viewers see on American Idol week after week is much more narrow and pinched. While it helps lessen the impact of having a strong nose on delicate features, it seems over done and obvious that a nose jb took place.

According to Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, “After examining photos of Paula Abdul, it looks like she had an over-aggressive rhinoplasty. Her tip looks pinched as compared to her earlier photos.  Her nose has the look of a typical, over done rhinoplasty.”

Since her initial rhinoplasty, Paula has undergone other plastic surgery procedures as well, most notably a breast augmentation, which has since gone wrong. She has also most likely had more face work performed, including eyelid surgery on both the upper and lower lids and a possible facelift as well. Most likely, she also uses Botox and other facial fillers to eliminate signs of aging, especially wrinkles.

Plastic surgeon, Dr. Sherrell J Aston tells Make Me Heal, “I agree Paula Abdul appears to have had a rhinoplasty,upper and lower lid blepharoplasty, and breast augmentation. Her jawline contour is very good for 46 years of age so it is possible she has had a short incision facelift. It is not entirely possible to be sure from photos in her case. She is pretty smooth between the eyebrows so I suspect a little Botox and she may have had subtle fillers.”

Paula is just as well known for her use of painkillers, which sometimes affect her speech, making her slur and incoherent and could be the result of an addiction stemming from her use of them after plastic surgery.

Whatever Paula does, she is always entertaining and Make Me Heal looks forward to seeing her and her wackiness as she continues to be a judge for American Idol on the show’s new season next year.
