Oprah Winfrey, Nose Job, Plastic Surgery
Oprah Winfrey is often the subject of plastic surgery rumors and particularly her having a nose job (rhinoplasty) early on in her career. Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn told Make Me Heal that Oprah may have had a rhinoplasty (nose job). “It does appear to me that her nose may have been thinned. If so, it is a nice job because it still retains her ethnicity, while at the same time refining her overall appearance.”

Pictures of Oprah’s early on in her career show a nose that appears wider at the bridge and flatter. Photos of Oprah since she shot to fame show her with a nose that appears to have a narrower bridge and more prominence to her once flat nose. It would seem reasonable that Oprah would have wanted to tweak this minor nose feature to make her have wider appeal to her audience. While one could easily jump to the conclusion that Oprah had a nose job before she became famous, the changing look of her nose is not due to a knife maneuver but rather clever use of makeup and lightning. Being that Oprah is in the limelight on a daily basis, her makeup stylists have learned to accentuate her features favorably and her lighting crew have perfected the use of lighting and optimal angles in which to capture Oprah most favorably.

Oprah Winfrey is often the subject of plastic surgery rumors and particularly her having a nose job (rhinoplasty) early on in her career. We thought we’d take a closer look at Oprah’s nose.

The prosecution says… Oprah’s look has changed dramatically from the mid 1970s when she started out as a newscaster in a Baltimore news station to her Oprah talk show. Audiences have seen Oprah’s hairstyles and weight change dramatically through the years and her nose also seemed to change its shape. Pictures of Oprah’s early on in her career show a nose that appears wider at the bridge and flatter. Photos of Oprah since she shot to fame show her with a nose that appears to have a narrower bridge and more prominence to her once flat nose. Incidentally, when Oprah was working as a news anchor in Baltimore at the beginning of her career, her bosses thought that having plastic surgery would boost her appeal and they wanted her to narrow her nose and have her eyes closer together – which she refused to do.

Besides a nose job rumor, Oprah is often accused of having liposuction to aid her on-and-off weight loss over the years, as well as having a breast lift and chin implants.

Oprah has repeatedly blasted rumors of her having plastic surgery, saying “According to this I’ve had a breast lift and liposuction and a chin implant. Why would I want that? It’s not true. But, hey, I must be looking pretty good.”

“I will be the first to tell you if I have plastic surgery.”

We agree that if Oprah were to have plastic surgery, she would make her “cosmetic journey” the subject of a whole month-long TV special that would delve into her physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual transformation.
