Anna Nicole Smith, Breast Implants
Model and actress Anna Nicole Smith had a breast augmentation procedure especially to enhance the appeal of her voluptuous figure. Smith may have had surgery to repair a breast implant prior to her unfortunate death. Smith was prescribed multiple pain medicines to help her cope with the pain from the surgery, and taking an overdose may be the cause of her death because she was developing a tolerance for it. In 1990 Smith had breast enlargement surgery to add to her sex appeal, allowing her to win the Playboy cover contest and appear on its cover. Smith admittedly stated that the breast enlargements hurt her back but that she saw nothing wrong with using them to attract men's attentions. Smith said she planned to be "the next Marilyn Monroe", and unfortunately like her idol, her life ended shortly. Becoming one of Playboy's most popular models, Smith began the trend for a more big bust look for women, although her breasts were surgically enhanced. Smith was then chosen to be the 1993 Playmate of the Year. By the time of Smith's PMOY pictorial, she had settled on the name Anna Nicole Smith.

Anna Nicole Smith's bust size was 38"DD - 26" - 38". Smith is also rumored to have had a lip augmentation, a breast lift, a facelift, liposuction, a tummy tuck, and cheek implants.

Anna Nicole Smith, Breast Implants

American sex symbol, playmate, and all around vixen of dramatic circumstance Anna Nicole Smtih has made her way back into conversation even after her death less than six months ago. It seems as though controversy and the late Anna Nicole are bound to walk together, even through her passing and the most recent discussion at hand began on Friday when a restraining order was signed by Los Angeles judge Mitchell L. Beckloff that prohibits the distribution of a videotape that captured the pin up’s first breast augmentation surgery on October 17, 1994. The videotape was made by Dr. Gerald Wayne Johson, the plastic surgeon who performed her breast augmentation. A restraining order is coming from Smith’s estate executor, Howard K. Stern. Stern is suing Dr. Johnson for illegally making the tape and then trying to sell it after her death to Thomas Riccio, an L.A. memorabilia broker.

This recorded breast augmentation was one of a few alleged breast implant procedures that Anna Nicole has received during her lifetime, with the first boob job dating to her appearance on Playboy. Anna Nicole allegedly demanded that two implants be placed in each breast. These claims may have some substance, as photos of Anna Nicole give the impression of a very large, and in Anna’s case “two” very large implants, as acknowledged by the seeming pull of the implant up off of her shoulder and chest bones. Anna Nicole’s official measurements are 38″DD - 26″ - 38″.

Throughout the course of Anna Nicole’s career, she has been linked to other cosmetic surgery procedures, including lip augmentation, a breast lift to push up her gargantuan breasts, a facelift, cheek implants, and some botox treatments. Given her crazed lifestyle and excessive weight gain and loss, the toll isn’t apparent on her face probably due to her surgical choices. People have also speculated that Anna Nicole’s dramatic weight loss was not entirely achieved through her Trimspa diet and that she got a bit of help from the knife via tummy tuck and liposuction. In any case, her weight loss was so significant that she was likely left with excessive amount of sagging skin which can only be trimmed and removed through a plastic surgery such as a tummy tuck.

The troubled 39-year old heiress reportedly went in for a final breast surgery just before her death and in doing so, helped other to revisit the idea the she was indeed heavily abusing pain medications, due to her tolerance of their effects (all ten kinds that were tried) during her time under the knife.

As for the case of the illegal taping of Smith’s breast procedures, serious justice is in the need of being served. Stern claims that the video was taped with Smith’s permission. To his defense, Dr. Johnson wrote in a letter that he regularly videotapes surgeries of his patients provided that he has the patient’s permission and that he keeps them confidential “during the patient’s lifetime.” Dr. Johnson said that he gave memorabilia dealer Riccio permission to use the Anna Nicole Smith’s video only after her death.

It is a safe assessment that if Nicole was taped without permission, other patients may have been too, and after the final decision is made on September 26th during his trial, Dr. Johnson may be suspended or worse, become unwillingly forced to look for a career change. If he is found guilty, perhaps a fitting choice for Dr. Johnson would be one that does not revolve around the dehumanizing of women during one of their most open and trusted times while believing that they are safely and privately in the hands of someone about to make them more beautiful — not objectified.

Anna Nicole Smith, Plastic Surgery
There’s a new twist to the unraveling drama surrounding Anna Nicole Smith’s death and it has to do with a recent breast surgery that she had to repair one of her breast implants. According to [MSNBC], in the aftermath of her breast surgery Smith was prescribed nearly a dozen of different types of pain medication and it is possible that she may have been taking excessive amounts of them due to having developed tolerance to the effects. In addition to the high level of painkillers that Anna Nicole may have been taking, it is also possible that her flu-like symptoms that she experienced in the last few days up to her death were signs of an adverse infection from her cosmetic procedure. Death from plastic surgery occurs in one out of 57,000 cases, according to the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). This is not to suggest that drugs such as methadone that she had likely taken did not have a role in this death.

Toxicology reports are expected in a month and they will likely shed light on the possibility that Anna Nicole died from an infection that was worsened by her consumption of an excessive amount of prescription painkillers.

Prior to her first appearance in Playboy, Smith had a breast augmentation and insisted on having two implants placed into each breast. Smith also had a face lift and other face work in the last two years.

There are documented cases of patients who had adverse reactions to surgery, which resulted in death from heart attacks, high fevers, and seizures. While the risk of infection is very small, research shows that respiratory and urinary tract infections such as pneumonia, bronchitis, and cystitis can increase the risk of having a heart attack and stroke.

While it’s quite possible that Anna Nicole died of a massive infection that was exacerbated by high consumption of pain killers, her alleged drug abuse (i.e. methadone) likely was the main culprit behind her death.

Our hearts go out to Anna Nicole. Although she did not embody the type of a woman that some of us would admire, Anna Nicole did not deserve this untimely death. There is a godly reason for everything that cannot be comprehended by us mere mortals, and only G-d knows why this fate was chosen for Anna Nicole Smith.
