Nicole Kidman had a rhinoplasty, lip augmentation, and is a frequent user of Botox injections to keep her porcelaine, wrinkle-free skin intact. Nicole Kidman's new nose has been reshaped as it is more defined, the tip is retracted and shorter, and the nostrils are smaller than her old nose.
Nicole Kidman’s fondness for plastic surgery has not stopped at a nose job, as she is known to have had Botox injections on numerous occassions and lip augmentation via injectible fillers such as Restylane or Juvederm. Kidman’s repeated use of Botox has led to her having an expressionless, frigid look in some public appearances and has caused some critics to accuse her of having a "Botox brow", which leads to an excessively arched eyebrow which can make the person look angry.
At the 2007 Oscars, it has been speculated that in addition to having lip augmentation for the event, Nicole Kidman may have gotten a breast augmentation in the recent past, as her bust seems to have grown. Nicole’s somewhat bustier appearance lead some to speculate that she might very likely had a breast augmentation in the recent past. Being that Nicole’s previous red carpet appearances showed a rather “boyish” flat chest, her recent appearances in more busty dresses indicate that breast implants might be in the mix. “She appears to have possibly had a breast augmentation. Her breasts remain in proportion to her figure though, and if done, appears to have been a very nice job,” said fellow Make Me Heal Oscars Coverage member plastic surgeon Anthony Youn.

For years, Aussie beauty Nicole Kidman has faced rumors of plastic surgery thanks to her preternaturally flawless complexion. Now the Botox rumors are back, thanks to Nicole’s recent red carpet appearance with a very tight-looking face.
42-year old Nicole Kidman has always insisted her perfect face is totally natural, despite evidence to the contrary. Make Me Heal has long held the opinion that Nicole has been over Botoxed and may have also had a rhinoplasty in the past (See Make Me Heal’s story on Nicole Kidman’s Botox). Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrell J Aston says, “From the photographs I can see, Nicole Kidman appears to have had some Botox in her forehead and around the eyes. It is also evident that she has an excellent complexion, lean body and naturally small features. I think that she is a beautiful woman that is aging very well.”
At a recent red carpet appearance, Nicole Kidman wore her hair pulled back so tightly that some tabloids speculated it was her hair-do, not Botox, pulling her skin back and making her look younger and more doll-like than ever. However, Make Me Heal thinks that Nicole is back to Botox after the birth of her daughter Sunday Rose, and it is the injectable filler, rather than her hairstyle making the stunning actress appear so flawless.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon at Spalding Drive Cosmetic Surgery says, “Nicole Kidman looks like she may have had a bit of Botox, as a smile will usually show a bit more expression in the face. The pulled back hairdo may make it a bit more obvious. The Botox is definitely not overdone, as she still looks great.”
Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “I agree that her hair style has added to Nicole’s “pulled look”, but it also appears from photographs that Ms. Kidman prefers to have that “frozen” look that she has made so recognizable which only comes from Botox.”
Plastic surgeon Dr. Richard Ellenbogen says, “I’ve been doing some of the most advanced facial anti-aging surgery in Hollywood for 35 years; even injecting stem cells in the face. I operated on all the old divas and know all the tricks…there are little devices which stars hide under their hair which tighten the face. But pulling your hair back doesn’t lift anything, it just lifts your follicles out and gives you alopecia (baldness) if you do it for too long. Nicole is smooth beyond any natural face. She has had help…lots of help, in my opinion. Score 1 for Botox and probably other aids on her skin.”
While Nicole looks great for her age, she definitely looks overdone and may want to lay off the injectables so she can show the emotions required of her craft.
Nicole Kidman Nixes Botox for Pregnancy

Oscar winning Aussie Nicole Kidman is often compared to a doll because of her perfectly porcelain complexion and completely flawless face, despite her appreciating age. To no one’s surprise, this look has been largely helped by a religious routine of Botox injections.
Although Make Me Heal typically writes about Nicole when she’s rumored to have another plastic surgery (read about Nicole Kidman’s plastic surgery profile), but this time we are pleased to report that Nicole seems to have stopped using Botox, at least for the duration of her pregnancy, allowing her natural grace and good looks to appear.
Previously, Nicole Kidman was seen with preternaturally arched eyebrows, which Plastic surgeon Anthony Youn explained as “the Botox Effect” on Kidman, saying, “I believe that this recent change is due to what I call the “Botox Brow.” Botox can be injected into the forehead and between the eyebrows to remove wrinkles there. While it is very effective in doing this, it can create a side effect of an overly arched eyebrow which can make the person look angry, or sinister. The look does seem to diminish with time. I think she looks better without the Botox.”
Everyone seems to agree that Nicole is better without the Botox, letting the radiance of pregnancy shine through. Dr. Youn reports, “Could it be that she had to quit Botox while she is pregnant? I think so. Botox injections can give a person what I call the ‘Botox brow.’ It is an overarching of the eyebrows that can give a somewhat sinister look. Botox does tend to wear off after 3-4 months, and [a recent photo] may be what Nicole looks like au naturel.”

Nicole Kidman showed the world yet again how glamour and plastic surgery can mix effectively. Stepping out to a film premiere at the New York Film Festival just days ago with her husband Keith Urban, Nicole was a wrinkle-free sight to behold. Dressed in a cream white body-hugging dress, the svelte 40-year old looked so pretty that some tabloid journals called her a “living doll”, although failing to mention the assistance of the knife in achieving the actress’s ageless, porcelain white skin.
Considering Kidman’s age, having no wrinkles on her forehead, crows feet around her eyes, nasolabial folds at the corners of her nose, or any lipstick lines around her mouth defies the laws of nature. While the actress has repeatedly said that she religiously avoids the sun since her teenage years, a sun-free lifestyle, good nutrion, and good genes can only go so far. Much like her substance abusing husband Keith Urban, Kidman abuses another substance – Botox. Kidman’s repeated use of Botox has given her a “Botox brow” which leads to an excessively arched eyebrow which can make the person look angry. Kidman’s appearance at the New York Film Festival was no exception, as Nicole appears to have basked in a Botox pool which contributes to the unnatural lack of expression on her wrinkle-free porcelain skin.
Plastic surgeon Anthony Youn explained the Botox Effect on Kidman, saying, “I believe that this recent change is due to what I call the “Botox Brow.” Botox can be injected into the forehead and between the eyebrows to remove wrinkles there. While it is very effective in doing this, it can create a side effect of an overly arched eyebrow which can make the person look angry, or sinister. The look does seem to diminish with time. I think she looks better without the Botox.”
Beyond the mystery around her lack of wrinkles is the absence of any slack skin, sagging jowls around her jawline, or any loss of tautness in Kidman’s neck. While it is unlikely that the actress had a face lift or even a mini facelift, it is quite likely that Kidman partakes in many non-surgical facial procedures such as chemical peels, laser skin resurfacing, and possibly thermage or other new age laser procedure.

Nicole has recently been dogged by plastic surgery rumors, including a recent breast augmentation rumor that surfaced at the Oscars 2007. Being that Nicole’s previous red carpet appearances showed a rather “boyish” flat chest, her more recent appearances (inclusive of the Oscars) with more busty indicate the possibility that a breast augmentation – albeit a small one - might be in the mix. “She appears to have possibly had a breast augmentation. It appears that Nicole is also a fan of lip injections, as her lips have sometimes appeared to be unnaturally puffier and larger than their normal size. At the Oscars, her lips looked “large and puffed up, causing her mouth to not move completely naturally”, adds Youn. While the just released photos of Kidman at the New York Film Festival make it difficult to conclude if she had Restylane or Juvederm injections, her lips are still quite fuller than normal.
Leaving the plastic surgery aside, Kidman is still a natural beauty who has used cosmetic enhancement to her advantage. But looking good only goes so far, as Nicole’s personal life is another story. Her husband Keith Urban has been battling substance abuse ever since their wedding last June, relapsing in and out of addiction and doing stints in rehab to clean up. Then a week ago, Urban crashed his motorcycle while driving to an Alcoholics Anonymous meeting. Kidman has mentioned that Urban and her are also trying to have kids, which is increasingly difficult in her age. Having miscarried before when married with Tom Cruise, Kidman is still hopeful for the future. Kidman’s youthful early-thirties looks would not have one immediately conjure up images of an aging woman struggling to catch the miracle of giving birth before it’s too late. But behind all the glitter and glamour is still a normal biological clock that keeps on ticking like the rest of us.

Nicole has lamented about her flat chest before, saying “I’ve wanted curves my whole life,” and suggested that if she were to become pregnant, her boobs would grow. “If I had my own baby, I would have bigger boobs.” In December 2005, Nicole admitted to not liking to show off her cleavage and that she didn’t have big boobs. “I’m not big on a lot of cleavage - not that I have a lot of cleavage,” Nicole said to Grazia magazine.
In addition to showing more voluminous breasts tonight at Oscars, it appears that Nicole also had a lip augmentation before the event by way of an injectable such as Restylane or Juvederm. “Her lips look large and puffed up, causing her mouth to not move completely naturally,” says plastic surgeon Dr. Youn. “When she is compared to her BFF [best female friend] Naomi Watts, one can see the difference between artificially-enhanced beauty and natural beauty.”
Moving on to the rest of Kidman’s anatomy, it is widely known that she had a rhinoplasty (Kidman’s rhinoplasty was profiled in a separate article). In the photos, one can see that her nose is more defined, the tip is retracted and shorter, and the nostrils are smaller.

With regards to Nicole’s somewhat “cat eye” look, Dr. Youn related that “She has arguably had a canthopexy, which is a procedure that causes the corners of the eyes to be angled upward, giving more of a “cat-eye” look. The main change in her face, however, is the botox which causes a classic “Botox brow.”
And that’s a wrap about Nicole’s anatomy. With or without cosmetic intervention, she is still one of Hollywood’s most glamorous and beautiful women with talent to boot.
