Cameron Diaz had a rhinoplasty (nose job) in 2007 which she says was performed only for medical reasons to repair a deviated septum and alleviate breathing problems that she’s been having after having broken her nose four times previously. However, this time fixing Diaz's nose is because of a surfing accident in 2005. Looking closely at Diaz’s new look, though, it appears the nose job that she had done was not only for medical reasons as the procedure also imparted some cosmetic benefits. Diaz's new nose has a straighter bridge when compared to her older crooked nose whose bridge was twisted towards the right in the top area of her nose. This procedure is hypocritical of the statement Cameron Diaz made about plastic surgery in Britain's Daily Express: "Have you seen those shows where ordinary people want to look like Britney Spears or Brad Pitt? What on Earth possesses them to want to destroy their own character? To go under the knife to do that, well, it's sick. I would never have anything done. I think beauty comes from the inside. When I see women who have had plastic surgery I find it unnerving. All I can see is the surgery. The person who has had it has vanished. I don't want to look like that."

Cameron Diaz's nose job was performed by Dr. Raj Kanodia, a leading plastic surgeon who also reshaped the noses of stars Jennifer Aniston and Ashlee Simpson.

More Plastic Surgery for Cameron Diaz?

Cameron Diaz is one of America’s Sweethearts, charming movie goers in every film. As the comedic actress prepares to take on a more serious role in My Sister’s Keeper, Make Me Heal wonders if Cameron has gotten more plastic surgery to stay looking fresh on the big screen.

The 36-year old has been open about having a rhinoplasty to repair her nose, which she has reportedly broken several times. (See Make Me Heal’s story on Cameron Diaz’s nose job). But several recent appearances on red carpets and magazine covers have led to speculation that Cameron may have had more plastic surgery recently.

While Cameron is a stunning young woman, she is beginning to enter the early stages of middle age and is likely experiencing consequential signs of aging. To help her stay looking as young as her attitude, Cameron may be experimenting with injectables.

Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “Cameron looks absolutely fantastic. She does have great skin. Botox and/or fillers are something that most celebrities do to keep fresh. I wouldn’t be surprised if she has had, and keeps having, both.”

Recent appearances reveal a very shiny and full-faced looking Cameron, indicating she may be using Botox in her forehead region.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden says, “In the past she has admitted to multiple surgeries on her nose to alleviate breathing problems and to correct a broken nose, somewhat understandable as she is a self-proclaimed “surfer girl”. Recently there has been rumors that Cameron has been using injectables such as Botox. At the 2009 MTV awards her forehead was smoother and shinier than normal which can indicate Botox use. However, she has fine lines around the outer and inner corners of her eyes when she smiles, possible consequence of sun exposure and the normal aging process. Magazine photos taken for covers are often airbrushed, which can contribute to the flawless look many celebrities have in some shots but not others.”

While Cameron has always had full lips and cheeks, they usually begin to diminish with age, but they have been looking bigger and rosier than ever, which could be indications that fillers are at play.

Manhattan plastic surgeon Dr. David Shafer states, “Cameron is a beautiful person. She does appear to have undergone rhinoplasty when compared to previous pictures. Her lips and cheeks also appear fuller in some recent photographs.”

On the other hand, Cameron’s change in appearance could be natural results of aging.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Sherrrell J. Aston says, “In my opinion Cameron Diaz is aging very well. After reviewing her photos, she does give the impression of being fuller in the face. I suspect this might be due to a recent a weight gain. Her lips have always looked full to me therefore I do not think she has been using a lip filler. It has been well publicized that Ms. Diaz had struggled with acne; her smooth skin might be from laser resurfacing treatments. I think that she is looking great!”

Cameron looks great and should continue with whatever regime has her looking as young and hot as actresses half her age.

Was Cameron Diaz’s Nose Job Only for Medical Reasons?

Cameron Diaz recently had a nose job that she says was performed to repair a deviated septum and alleviate breathing problems that she’s been having in light of having broken her nose four times. Looking closely at Diaz’s new look, though, it appears the nose job that she had done was not only for medical reasons as the procedure also imparted some cosmetic benefits.

Photos of the star at the Oscars versus pre-operative photos show a straighter bridge than her older more crooked nose whose bridge was twisted towards the right at the top area of her nose. Diaz wisely did not have her nose made to look to perfect and asymmetrical as part of her charm lies in her not being a classic beauty with perfect features. Diaz’s nose is still not perfectly straight, which keeps her looking like her old self that we all love.

Asked if the nose job was to repair the septum or also to cosmetically enhance the appearance of the nose, plastic surgeon Anthony Youn confirmed that Diaz’s nose job achieved both objectives. “It looks like a combination of both. A septum repair (straightening) can create a straighter nose, which it has for her. Although the main purpose is to restore breathing, it can improve a crooked nose.” Considering recent events, particularly, her very public breakup from Justin Timberlake, it certainly would not be unusual for this rhinoplasty to have been performed with aesthetic reasons in mind as Cameron’s new face is symbolic of her newly single life.

Diaz has broken her nose four times and last year told W Magazine “I’m getting it fixed. I can’t take it. I cannot breathe at all.” Incidentally, Diaz’s rhinoplasty was performed by Dr. Raj Kanodia, the same plastic surgeon responsible for both Ashlee Simpson and Jennifer Aniston’s new noses (read about Aniston’s nose job).

Cameron Diaz Is Shocked By Plastic Surgery Fanatics

Cameron Diaz, Plastic Surgery
Cameron Diaz is shocked by ordinary people who want to undergo plastic surgery to look more like Britney Spears or Brad Pitt. The 34-year old star has also vowed to never have any additional cosmetic surgery in her life to improve her looks beyond the rhinoplasty (nose job) that she had in early 2007 and which she insists was performed strictly for medical reasons.

Cameron Diaz finds it "sick" that people would want to go under the knife to look more like celebrities, as she feels that having these procedures “destroys” their character. Speaking about reality television shows that depict extreme makeovers and celebrity look-alike plastic surgery, Cameron Diaz says "Urgh! Have you seen those shows where ordinary people want to look like Britney Spears or Brad Pitt? What on earth possesses them to want to destroy their own character? To go under the knife to do that, well, it's sick."

Cameron Diaz vehemently objects to having plastic surgery and does not intend on going under the knife ever in her life to enhance her looks, even when she gets older.

"I had to have work on my nose for a deviated septum, but I would never do anything else. I think beauty comes from inside," says Diaz.

Diaz had a rhinoplasty (nose job) in 2007, which she claims was done to repair a deviated septum and alleviate breathing problems that she’s been having due to having broken her nose four times over the years. Despite these allegations, photos of Diaz’s new nose show a cosmetic improvement in her look. Diaz's new nose has a straighter bridge when compared to her older crooked nose whose bridge was twisted towards the right in the top area of her nose.

"When I see women who have had plastic surgery I find it unnerving. All I can see is the surgery. The person who has had it has vanished. I don't want to look like that."

MTV Film Awards Plastic Surgery Recap

Cameron Diaz made a high-wattage appearance at the MTV Awards in an itzy-bitzy black mini-skirt that was all about the legs. Diaz looked fabulous and her recently surgically operated nose showed no trace of her past imperfection, namely, a crooked nose whose bridge was twisted towards the right at the top of her nose. Cameron’s new nose has a straighter bridge than her older nose, although the actress’s new nose still bears some asymmetry so as not to change her look too much.

Cameron Diaz had a rhinoplasty in 2007 which she says was performed only for medical reasons to repair a deviated septum and alleviate breathing problems that she’s been after having broken her nose four times previously. The only problem with this story is that Cameron’s nose looks aesthetically improved, so the outcome had some cosmetic benefits.
