43-year old Viola Davis has been nominated for an Oscar in the Best Supporting actress category for her as Mrs. Miller in the film Doubt. Viola’s natural beauty was played down in the dramatic film, but Viola’s nearly flawless skin sparkles naturally off-screen, most likely without the aid of much plastic surgery.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden reports, “Viola Davis does not look like she has had any cosmetic procedure done. From the different array of pictures, the only physical attribute changing is her hairstyle. She may have used a medicated cream called hydroquinone to lighten her skin tone around her eyes just a bit, and give it that glowing look. Or this could simply be due to makeup shade around her eyes and cheeks, and the difference in lighting from photo to photo.”
While Dr. Walden felt Viola’s look is natural, some of the other doctors Make Me Heal consulted thought they spotted conservative signs of plastic surgery on the actress, including a potential rhinoplasty and careful Botox injections to aid her smile.
Dr. Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, Calif., said, “I think Viola Davis might have had a conservative ethnic rhinoplasty. It almost looks like she has an implant in her dorsum and her tip looks thinner. Her nostrils are still too wide. It could be revised to give her a better-looking nose.”
Plastic surgeon Dr. Anthony Youn says, “She may have had a repair of her gummy smile. This is commonly performed by using Botox or by dividing the elevators of her upper lip. By doing this, less of her upper gums are allowed to show.”
