Matt Damon is an American actor, screenwriter and producer most well-known to audiences for starring in several Hollywood blockbuster films such as The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999), The Bourne Identity (2002) and The Departed (2006). Damon, along with fellow Boston-born best friend and actor Ben Affleck, won an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay for Good Will Hunting (1998), a film that Damon also starred in and was also nominated for an Academy Award for Best Actor. Damon, who is one of Hollywood's top 40 highest-grossing actors of all time, first achieved fame by appearing in the prep-school drama School Ties (1992) alongside Brendan Fraser and Chris O'Donnell. Damon, however, would not achieve widespread fame until his starring role alongside Robin Williams in Good Will Hunting. Damon has been in well-publicized dating relationships with fellow actresses Minnie Driver and Winona Ryder. Damon married Argentine-born bartender Luciana Bozan Barroso in 2005 and the couple have three daughters. Damon is set to star in the upcoming George Clooney film Monuments Men (2014).
