George Clooney is an American film and television actor most famous for his long-running role of Dr. Douglas Ross on medical drama ER. Following his departure from the television screen, Clooney (nephew of Rosemary Clooney) has successfully transitioned to a successful film actor, appearing in Three Kings alongside Mark Wahlberg and in Argo alongside Ben Affleck. While Clooney has only admitted to having an eyelid surgery, he has been the center of rumors that he has also had a face lift, cosmetic dentistry and Botox. Clooney has also fed rumors that he has had a tummy tuck procedure done by appearing shirtless with a scar across his stomach. Clooney has joked in the press that he has had a testicle ironing procedure done to unwrinkle excess skin on his testicles; a claim that remains unsubstantiated due to this procedure having never been heard of before.

Has George Clooney Had Cosmetic Dentistry?

George Clooney may joke about plastic surgery, but one thing that the actor does take seriously are his teeth. George looks as though he has undergone some major cosmetic dentistry over the past several years.

52-year old George Clooney fooled the world into thinking he had plastic surgery on his eyes a few years ago (See Make Me Heal’s story on George Clooney’s plastic surgery) and even invented a new trend commonly referred to as “ball ironing,” but one thing he has definitely done is cosmetic dentistry.

Has George Clooney Had Testicular "Ball Ironing" Done?

George Clooney: Testicular Ironing?

Actor George Clooney is a notorious practical joker, even joking about plastic surgery. While he eventually confessed that he never actually had an eyelift, it seems that another cosmetic surgery procedure he joked about may now be a real thing.

52-year old George Clooney created quite a stir a few years back when he claimed to have plastic surgery on his eyes, but eventually came clean about his comments (See Make Me Heal’s story on George Clooney’s plastic surgery).

Around the same time, in 2008 an interview with Esquire magazine, Clooney joked that he’s had some work done, saying, “I did get my balls done … I got them unwrinkled. It’s the new thing in Hollywood — ball ironing.”

Plastic Surgery For Daniel Day Lewis, George Clooney, Colin Farrell & Viggo Mortensen?

At the recent Oscars, the red carpet was once again full of sparkling stars and subtle touches of agelessness. The male stars of the Oscars were out in force: aging gracefully but not all were so naturally handsome that they couldn’t benefit from some plastic surgery.

Best Actor Winner Daniel Day Lewis appears to be as yet untouched by the knife. But that doesn’t mean that he couldn’t improve the signs of aging he has begun to experience. His cheeks look like they have become fuller as he grows older, but his nose has taken on a crooked appearance, possibly he has had some injury that has not been corrected and makes him look older than he has to. This problem can be corrected with nose reshaping (rhinoplasty). Moreover, Daniel Day Lewis’s deep wrinkles are not camera friendly and Botox can soften the wrinkles for photos and film.

George Clooney was a red carpet favorite at this year’s Oscars. Make Me Heal has before noted some of Clooney’s previous plastic surgery, including an eyelid lift that the actor himself admitted to, “I had my eyes done. Can you tell? I think it’s important to look awake” (read the full story on George Clooney’s Eyelid Surgery). While the jury’s out on whether the charming actor was kidding around, he could do more to enhance his appearance.

Plastic surgeon Dr. Paul Nassif refuted the blepharoplasty rumors, but made some suggestions. “George Clooney hasn’t had any eye work. George would look great if he had a conservative natural endoscopic brow lift.” Which is an interesting difference from the way plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia feels about Clooney, as he felt that the actor had an eyelid surgery and possibly even a mid-facelift. “Looks pretty consistent with upper and lower blepharoplasty with maybe a little midface work. Some of this midface work can now be done through the lower lid incisions,” says Dr. Di Saia.

Tommy Lee Jones has had a long career in film and the effects of working so much are beginning to show. Make Me Heal notices that the tapestry of lines on Tommy Lee Jones’s face have become increasingly deep and that his eyelids have continued to droop. Dr. Nassif advises, “Facial rejuvenation might be an option for nominee and award-winner Tommy Lee Jones. His heavy eyelid and forehead could be addressed with a blepharoplasty and a browlift.”

For Viggo Mortensen, the strong and masculine actor’s deep lines seem premature and the result of excessive sun-worshipping. Make Me Heal wondered if fillers couldn’t help benefit the talented actor and Dr. Nassif agrees, saying, “wrinkles on best-actor nominee Viggo Mortensen forehead could be easily treated with Botox or other fillers.”

Latin import Javier Bardem is a handsome leading man with a distinctly masculine nose and chin, but doesn’t seem to have had any plastic surgery. As Bardem ages and spends more time in Hollywood, he may want to consider laser skin resurfacing or fillers to help smooth out the lines heavy roles bring about.

Bad Boy Colin Farrell arrived at the Oscars looking as carefully undone as always. But has his look changed over the years as his behavior improves? It may be possible that the actor had a rhinoplasty, as the tip of his nose is more pinched than it used to be. Dr. Nassif agrees, pointing out some tell-tale signs of a nose job. “Colin Farrell possibly had a rhinoplasty based on deep alar creases and a pinched tip.” In the event that a rhinoplasty was done on Colin, the procedure gives the notorious actor a softer look, somewhat out of step with his Alpha-male persona.

Unlike some of the leading women, the men of the Oscars remain relatively plastic surgery-free, with the exception of some minor alterations that help them appear to age well. In the future, Make Me Heal recommends that these actors consider the knife or at least non-surgical treatments such as laser treatments, thermage, and injection fillers like Botox and Juvederm to maintain their good looks.

Did George Clooney Have Plastic Surgery?

George Clooney’s dramatically refreshed appearance at Cannes has reignited old rumors that the 45-year old star had plastic surgery. Back in February of this year, Clooney said in a television interview with Julia Roberts that he had his eyes done to get rid of the “tired” look. “I had my eyes done. Can you tell? I think it’s important to look awake,” said Clooney in the interview. Due to the star’s history of playing jokes with the media, this confession was not taken with complete seriousness. Now, it seems that that George Clooney’s statement may be true after all.

The star is not denying this allegation that he had an eyelid surgery and if anything is doing all he can to perpetuate this claim. When “Ocean’s 13” co-star Don Cheadle joked with the actor at a promotional event at Cannes that Clooney had “only had one eye done”, Clooney replied:

“I figured I wanted to try it first. Give it a test run.”

New photos of Clooney reveal remarkable results, as the star no longer has the under-eye bags and his eyes are more open. The results look natural and Clooney has avoided the “surprised” look that can happen in a bad blepharoplasty (eye lift). Clooney looks the same, only better. Clooney appears to have a had a full blepharoplasty on both his upper and lower eyelids and had excess skin and fat pockets removed. Additionally, Clooney’s crows feet (the lines that emanate from the corner of his eyes) appear softer and less pronounced, a likely result of the eyelid surgery and possible Botox or Restylane injections.

Before photos of Clooney show droopy lids and skin that hung over his eyes and caused them to look smaller and squinty. Also, it is likely that loss of eye muscle strength and the thinning of eye skin (due to loss of collagen in the dermis) in the undereye region has caused pockets of fat to bulge out and appear below his eye. But now, these signs of aging have been reversed and are no longer apparent on Clooney’s eye area.

George Clooney’s New Tummy Scar: Plastic Surgery?

George Clooney, Tummy Tuck, Scar
Photos just obtained of George Clooney sporting a fresh scar across his stomach has prompted insiders to wonder if the Ocean’s 13 star has gotten plastic surgery and specifically if it was a tummy tuck or liposuction. Could the 46-year old “Sexiest Man Alive” title holder be trying to keep his good looks with a little help from the knife?

Seen shirtless on his yacht in Italy in a pair of shorts, photos of 46-year old Clooney reveal what appears to be a 6 to 7 inch horizontal scar right above his belly button. While gossip rags are claiming the scar is the result of a tummy tuck or liposuction, an examination of the photos by Make Me Heal and consulting plastic surgeons reveals that no cosmetic surgery has been undertaken by Clooney and that these rumors are completely unfounded. Liposuction scars are minimal, as the incisions are very small and lead to minimal scarring. As for the tummy tuck claim, the placement of Clooney’s scar being above the belly button dismisses this possibility because tummy tuck incisions are made on the very lowest part of the abdomen and lead to scarring that is right above one’s underwear/bikini line. As a result, it is not reasonable that a plastic surgeon would perform a tummy tuck where the scar line would be visible when a person is wearing a pair of shorts. Dr. Lucy Glancey also dismissed the tummy tuck rumors, saying “Anything like a tummy tuck would usually be lower down.”

Being that the photo is not taken close, it is also possible that the seeming scar is actually a skin fold in Clooney’s stomach. This theory is being supported by Dr. Glancey, who said “It’s possibly the result of a hernia scar or it could be a skin crease.”

Publicist Stan Rosenfield has denied that Clooney has a scar or had any cosmetic surgery, saying the horizontal line is a skin crease caused by the star’s weight loss since his last film. “It’s probably just from putting on the weight he lost from filming during his last movie,” says Rosenfield.

Other insiders have suggested that the scar may be connected to a scar that Clooney has from an accident during filming of “Syriana” a few years ago. Due to the accident, Clooney has a scar running from the base of his spine up to his neck. “There’s a lot of spinal surgery that’s done from the front. It’s a bit higher than I’d expect for a spine scar but it is possible,” says surgeon John Getty from the Northern General Hospital in Sheffield about the possibility that the tummy scar is associated with the surgery Clooney had on his back and neck. Clooney is no stranger to plastic surgery rumors, though.
