Linda Blair is an American film actress most notorious to audiences for starring as the demon-possessed little girl Regan MacNeil in the horror film The Exorcist (1973). The controversial role, which many deemed risque for a 12-year-old, involved a preteen Blair cursing obscenities, throwing up projectile pea-soup vomit, and using blasphemous language. Blair would star in various teenage-girl-in-peril films throughout the 1970s including Born Innocent (1974), Airport 1975 (1974) and Sarah T. - Portrait Of A Teenage Alcoholic (1975). After battling legal troubles in the late '70s, Blair would see her acting career flounder in the '80s and '90s. Blair would later become an animal rights activist and host the Fox Family TV show "Scariest Places On Earth" (2000-2006).
