Ashley Tisdale: Nose Job
Ashley Tisdale, famous for her role as Sharpay Evans in the movie High School Musical, has recently admitted to getting rhinoplasty also known as a nose job. Ashley issued a statement that that the nose job was performed solely for medical reasons as she was experiencing difficulty breathing through her right nostril. The five hour surgery done on November 30, 2007, repaired a nose septum that was 80% percent deviated and helped correct two small nose fractures.

Tisdale denies getting rhinoplasty for cosmetic reasons and says, "I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose."

Recent photos of Tisdale in 2008 show that the bridge of her nose has narrowed and the tip is rounder, leaving room for speculation about a second surgery possibly to correct any undesirable outcomes of the first surgery.

More Plastic Surgery for Ashley Tisdale?

The following article is reprinted from Make Me Heal's Celebrity Plastic Surgery News. The article, along with photos can be found at the following link: Plastic Surgery for Ashley Tisdale.

Ashley Tisdale has almost become better known for her notorious nose job(s) than for her work on Disney’s High School Musical movie franchise. Now, Ashley is at the center of new plastic surgery rumors for below the neck. After openly having a rhinoplasty to supposedly correct a deviated septum, (See Make Me Heal’s story on Ashley Tisdale’s nose job), the 23-year old actress is rumored to want a breast augmentation.

According to a report by Star Magazine, a source has come forward saying, “Ashley wants curves. She wants to be sexy and not to look like a stick-thin model. She wants to look like a model.”

“Ashley hated her new nose at first, but now she loves the results.”

“Once it healed and the swelling went down, she thought about having more work down.”

The Magazine also says that Ashley has been trying on padded bras to pick her new size.

But Ashley hasn’t had the procedure yet, a friend tells Star, “Ashley has consulted a few doctors, but that”s it.”

The quest for breast implants comes on the heels of rumors that Ashley has had multiple rhinoplasties (See Make Me Heal’s story on Ashley Tisdale’s Second Nose Job).

If the rumors are true, and Ashley does have a breast augmentation, it may help her make the transition from Disney diva to grown-up actress.

Which of Maxim’s Top 10 Hottest Women Got Plastic Surgery?

The following article is reprinted from Make Me Heal 's Celebrity Plastic Surgery News. The article, along with photos can be found at the following link: Which of Maxim’s Top 10 Hottest Women Got Plastic Surgery?.

When Maxim Magazine came out with their annual list of the 100 Hottest Women around, Make Me Heal decided to look at their top 10 picks and see who was a natural beauty and who had help from plastic surgery. What we discovered was that many of these women have previous histories on the Make Me Heal celebrity plastic surgery radar.

Maxim’s number one pick, 29-year old Sports Illustrated model Marissa Miller has bizarrely large breasts for such a slight frame, leading Make Me Heal to believe that the American beauty has a breast augmentation. She also has the perfectly tiny nose with a rounded tip that is common for people who have undergone a rhinoplasty. Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia agrees, saying that Marissa has had a nose job, breast implants and a possible breast lift.

2. Scarlett Johansson 23-year old actress Scarlett Johansson is often at the center of speculation as to whether or not she has had breast implants or a nose job. Make Me Heal has always maintained that Scarlett’s nose is real despite allegations of US Weekly that Scarlett has gotten a nose job (read more about Make Me Heal’s analysis of Scarlett Johansson’s nose job rumor), which led to the actress suing the tabloid magazine. However, Make Me Heal has yet to make up its mind about whether Scarlett’s copious breasts are augmented or natural. 3. Jessica Biel Although 26-year old actress Jessica Biel’s body is often the center of focus, Jessica’s face is where all the plastic surgery has been done. Make Me Heal has previously reported on Jessica’s nose job and Jessica’s lip augmentation and plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia also suspects she may have ha25-year old actress Elisha Cuthbert is relatively new to the Hollywood scene and so it is hard to determine whether or not this beauty is natural or not, although her full lips could be the result of a lip augmentation, using fillers like Restylane or Juvederm, which tend to be popular with young actresses. d other possible facial rejuvenation procedures. 4. Eva Longoria Parker 33-year old actress and newlywed Eva Longoria Parker (read about plastic surgery At Eva Longoria’s wedding) appears to be a nearly natural beauty, and has stated she would not have any plastic surgery because of her fear of needles: “It’s not that I’m against people who do it, but I’m terrified of needles,” she told Maxim. “I’ve seen those shows with the operations. The sound of the chisel! Aaah! I almost passed out. No thank you. Egg white omelets, some exercise and some eye cream is fine for now.” The only problem is that it appears that Eva may have gotten some Restylane injections in her lips and possible Botox to smooth out surface wrinkles and lines. Ironically, both procedures require the use of the needle. Read about Eva Longoria Parker on Plasticopedia.

5. Sarah Michelle Gellar 31-year old actress Sarah Michelle Gellar looks as if the only thing that has changed since her days on television’s Buffythe Vampire Slayer is her nose. It no longer has an asymmetrical bulge at the end and is instead much rounder and pleasing to the eye. Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia agrees, saying that the actress looks as if she has had a rhinoplasty since the earlier picture.

6. Elisha Cuthbert 25-year old actress Elisha Cuthbert is relatively new to the Hollywood scene and so it is hard to determine whether or not this beauty is natural or not, although her full lips could be the result of a lip augmentation, using fillers like Restylane or Juvederm, which tend to be popular with young actresses.

7. Eva Mendes 34-year old actress Eva Mendes appears to be a natural beauty, and at least thus far, is against plastic surgery. She has reportedly said, “No, not for me. That’s a brutal operation. Very invasive. I’m really into the subconscious, you know? I wonder if they can hear the doctors talking about you when you lie there. Because you’re out, but you’re still alive. I’d want to be plugged into my iPod or something.” (Read the complete plastic surgery profile of Eva Mendes on Plasticopedia, the largest online celebrity plastic surgery encyclopedia).

8. Christina Aguilera A former Disney sensation, 27-year old singer Christina Aguilera sports ridiculously large breast implants (read about Christina Aguilera’s breast implants). The new mother may have also had a rhinoplasty (nose job) at some point, but plastic surgeons Dr. John Di Saia and Dr. Anthony Youn both agree with Make Me Heal’s opinion of Christina Aguilera’s overly busty bosom. Incidentally, Christina Aguilera also made it to Make Me Heal’s Top Ten Celebrity Breast Implants list.

9. Lindsay Lohan 21-year old actress and sometimes singer is also a former Disney diva who has breast implants that augmented her by a good one or two cup sizes (read more about Lindsay Lohan’s breast augmentation). Lindsay is rumored to have gotten her first breast augmentation when she turned 17. Some sources say that Lohan subsequently had a second breast augmentation to improve her breasts and achieve a more “natural” look. Responding to these rumors, Lindsay said that she was a late bloomer who happened to develop her chest at 17.

“I developed very late in high school. When I was 16, I still had baby fat. I didn’t get my chest until I was 17, so that made me feel insecure. I used to feel like I had to stuff my bra,” said Lindsay Lohan.

Lindsay also often uses lip injections and may have gotten a nose job.

10. Ashley Tisdale The most recent product of the Disney machine, 22-year old singer and actress Ashley Tisdale has been open about her rhinoplasty, which she says was for medical reasons to fix a deviated septum caused by a fractured nose when she was a teen (read Make Me Heal story on Ashley Tisdale’s nose job). The only problem is that following her corrective medical surgery, Tisdale reappeared without some of the imperfections of her former nose, leading some to speculate that she had a cosmetic nose job following the deviated septum correction. Tisdale’s bridge has narrowed and the tip is rounder, leaving room for speculation about a second surgery possibly to correct any undesirable outcomes of the first surgery. Tisdale adamantly denies having any work done that was not medically necessary, “It’s ridiculous. I’m not for plastic surgery. I’m not going to get another surgery. I can promise you that.”

Ashley Tisdale’s Next Sequel: A Second Nose Job?

The following article is reprinted from Make Me Heal 's Celebrity Plastic Surgery News. The article, along with photos can be found at the following link: Ashley Tisdale’s Next Sequel: A Second Nose Job?.

Late last year Make Me Heal reported on Ashley Tisdale’s nose job (read the previous story on Ashley Tisdale’s Nose Job). The 22-year old star of Disney’s “High School Musical”, Ashley Tisdale claimed that her rhinoplasty was needed only for medical reasons to fix a deviated septum caused by a fractured nose when she was a teen. After a lot of fans complained about her new appearance, the teen favorite openly admitted that she had had plastic surgery. But now her nose appears to have taken yet another metamorphosis and the young star is admitting nothing. “People are saying I had another nose job and I did not. That’s ridiculous,” Tisdale says, blaming the tabloid speculation on being away for a while, when she says she was simply on location filming.

Tisdale is a Disney channel celebrity who found fame and acclaim in her role as the antagonist in High School Musical with a large and bumpy nose. After her surgery in 2007, Tisdale reappeared in the sequel with nary a bump in sight. But now, while the bumps are still gone, in some recent photographs, her nose appears to have undergone yet another transformation. The bridge has narrowed and the tip is rounder, leaving room for speculation about a second surgery possibly to correct any undesirable outcomes of the first surgery. It’s not unusual for someone to have a corrective rhinoplasty to fix a previous nose job.

Tisdale adamantly denies having any work done that was not medically necessary, “It’s ridiculous. I’m not for plastic surgery. I’m not going to get another surgery. I can promise you that.”

While the latest version of her nose could just be the last of the healing process causing any left over swelling to go away and making her nose look slimmer, or more clever make-up application, Make Me Heal thinks that if Tisdale wants to last in showbiz, it’s a bit premature in her career to make any promises about not having further cosmetic surgery.

Ashley Tisdale: I Got A Nose Job For Medical Reasons

The following article is reprinted from Make Me Heal 's Celebrity Plastic Surgery News. The article, along with photos can be found at the following link: Ashley Tisdale: I Got A Nose Job For Medical Reasons.

There is a growing Hollywood trend of getting a rhinoplasty (nose job) and then trying to pass it off as a medical treatment to alleviate breathing problems. Ashley Tisdale of “High School Musical” may just be another star jumping on this bandwagon, joining the likes of Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Aniston who have also insisted they had nose jobs only for the sake of repairing deviated septums. The only problem is that these celebrity noses appear to be improved cosmetically and that their procedures are not technically only medical – they are outright plastic surgery.

The 22-year old Tisdale had a five-hour surgery on Friday in Los Angeles to repair a nose septum that was 80% percent deviated and to correct two small nose fractures. Tisdale claims that prior to the surgery her breathing problems worsened to the point that she could no longer breathe from her right nostril.

"Growing up I always knew I had a deviated septum on the right side of my nose, which caused trouble breathing," Tisdale told People on Monday from her Los Angeles home.

"The older I got, the worse it got. I went to get it checked out, and the doctor told me the septum was 80 percent deviated and that I had two small fractures on my nose."

Tisdale vehemently denies having gotten the surgery for cosmetic reasons and says that she is not a supporter of plastic surgery.

"I didn’t do this because I believe in plastic surgery. I did this to help my health. I literally almost could not breathe out of the right side of my nose," said Tisdale.

"I want my fans to know the truth. I’m not someone who is going to act like I had nothing done. I just want to be honest because my fans are everything to me."

It is quite commendable that Tisdale was so open about her surgery, as she probably knows that rumors would soon abound about her surgery if she kept mum about it. Only time will tell if the nose job that Tisdale got was done for medical reasons, or if it imparted a few cosmetic benefits. Looking at Tisdale’s old nose it seems that her bridge twists to the right slightly at the top, but is otherwise quite a nice nose that does not require cosmetic enhancement. While Tisdale’s case may indeed prove to be a medical necessity, it is likely that her corrective surgery will have some cosmetic benefits and that the star had taken the opportunity to also improve upon her nose while repairing her deviated septum.

In other cases, Cameron Diaz is a fine example of a star who claims to have gotten a septoplasty only for medical reasons. While Cameron Diaz had a nose job for medical reasons, the surgery definitively improved the look of her nose, as the new nose has a narrower tip and straighter bridge compared to the old crooked nose which had a slight twist to the right of the top area of her bridge and a wider tip (see a full article on Cameron Diaz’s nose job).

Speaking about Diaz with Make Me Heal, Dr. Paul Nassif, a plastic surgeon based in Beverly Hills, said:

"Cameron had a definite rhinoplasty. In her before photo, her nose looked bulbous and wide especially her nostrils area (ala), the after photo reveals a softer, narrower tip, ala (nostrils) and nasal dorsum. Cameron’s nose now looks pretty natural."
