Kirstie Alley is American comedienne most famous for her role on the popular TV show Cheers for which she won an Emmy Award and a Golden Globe Award. More recently, Alley has achieved fame for her flamboyant personal lifestyle, including being a Scientologist and for her long-fought teeter-tottering battle against weight loss. Alley transitioned her acting success to the big screen when she co-starred alongside John Travolta in Look Who's Talking (1989). Alley also starred in other notable Hollywood films such as It Takes Two (1995), Deconstructing Harry (1995) and Drop-dead Gorgeous (1997). Alley owns a home in Clearwater, Florida that she purchased from fellow Scientologist Lisa Marie Presley.
Kirstie Alley: Plastic Surgery
As a result of her high-profile fluctuating weight battle, Alley has long been thought of as a prime candidate for plastic surgery weight loss through gastric bypass or liposuction. Alley, however, has remained steadfast against going under the knife, stating:
“I haven’t had plastic surgery but here’s the reason: People do plastic surgery to make you look younger,” she said. “I don’t think it makes you look younger. I like it can make you look weirder.”
Nevertheless, pesky rumors remain that Alley may be considering liposuction or tummy tuck procedures to ward off the loose skin and cellulite that may have accumulated on her fluctuating body over the years.
Kirstie Alley is continuing her stance against plastic surgery, saying that she’s never even tried Botox. The Dancing with the Stars Alum is now starring in her own sitcom, but apparently she doesn’t fear what she looks like in high-def enough to try Botox. When 62-year old Kirstie Alley dropped major pounds a few years back, many thought that the Cheers star had simply gone the Hollywood way and opted for plastic surgery to help her get svelte. After losing a lot of weight, Kirsite could have used some liposuction and procedures like a tummy tuck...
Kirstie Alley made news when she gained so much weight that she no longer resembled “that actress from Cheers.” When she finally dropped the weight after a stint on Dancing with the Stars, many thought that she would follow up her weight loss with plastic surgery, but apparently that isn’t the case.
62-year old Kirstie Alley’sweight fluctuations have likely left her with a lot of loose skin, and age has likely taken a toll as well, which could be aided by plastic surgery, or liposuction and procedures like a tummy tuck, which can help eliminate the last few bulges and skin bags.
