Amy Adams is an American actress who may have had plastic surgery to enhance her looks. Adams began her performing career on stage in dinner theaters before making her screen debut in the 1999 black comedy film Drop Dead Gorgeous. After a series of television guest appearances and roles in B movies, she landed the role of Brenda Strong in 2002's Catch Me If You Can, but her breakthrough role was in the 2005 independent film Junebug, playing Ashley Johnsten, for which she received critical acclaim and an Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress.
Adams subsequently starred in Disney's 2007 film Enchanted, which was a financial and critical success, and received a Golden Globe Award nomination for her performance as Giselle. She received her second Academy Award and Golden Globe Award nominations the following year for her role as a young nun, Sister James, in Doubt. Though she has appeared in a range of dramatic and comedic roles, Adams has gained a reputation for playing characters with cheerful and sunny dispositions.Adams starred in the 2008 film Sunshine Cleaning with Emily Blunt and Alan Arkin. She has since acted in the 2009 films Night at the Museum: Battle of the Smithsonian in the role of Amelia Earhart and Julie & Julia portraying writer Julie Powell.
Has Amy Adams Had Plastic Surgery?
Amy Adams stars in the film Doubt, alongside Philip Seymour Hoffman and Meryl Streep. Before the movie hits theatres, Make Me Heal investigates whether or not the Oscar nominee has had any plastic surgery.
At 34, Amy is at an age when many actresses begin to have plastic surgery, whether it is under the knife or under the needle. But it is unlikely that the talented actress has had any drastic work to make her pretty as a princess.
According to Paul S. Nassif, a Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon and Rhinoplasty Specialist in Beverly Hills, California, “It doesn’t look as if Amy Adams has had surgery. The only difference that I see is that she is wearing more make up in her more recent photos.”
Indeed, Amy appears to be a rare untouched beauty in Hollywood, although she may be beginning to use Botox to maintain her smooth complexion.
Plastic surgeon Dr. Jennifer Walden notes, “Amy has a fresh and pretty look about her, in the recent photos provided her brow and forehead look very smooth, almost as if she’s had a little Botox. Botox is a selective muscle relaxant that is injected into specific areas for cosmetic purposes to smooth wrinkle and furrows; it is quite popular in this age range whether you happen to be a celebrity or not.”
Amy appears in Doubt alongside legendary actress Meryl Streep, who although she has likely had a nip or tuck in her time, has spoken openly against plastic surgery.
Amy Adams is just beginning to become a popular household name and because she can also sing, likely has a long career ahead of her. And most likely some plastic surgery to help enhance it.
