Abbreviations

From Make Me Heal

Many patients use abbreviations when discussing procedures on the message boards and in articles. The following are frequently used abbreviations:

ACV - Apple Cider Vinegar

BA - Breast Augmentation

BB - Belly Button

BL - Breast Lift

BR - Breast Reduction

Bump - Reply with a 'bump' to keep it at the top of the list.

BTW - By The Way

DH - Darling Husband (or damn husband, depending your mood!!)

DD - Darling Daughter

DS - Darling Son

ETA - Estimated Time of Arrival - or sometimes Edited To Add.

ETT - Extended Tummy Tuck - The incision is extended further past the hip bones towards the back.

FL - Face Lift

FTT - Full Tummy Tuck -Usually includes MR with an incision that goes hip bone to hip bone

HR - Hernia repair

IMHO - In My Humble Opinion

IMO - In My Opinion

Ken Doll - When your pubis mound is swollen and looks like the genitals on a Ken Doll

LBL - Lower Body Lift

LMAO - Laughing My Ass Off

LMBO - Lauging My Butt Off

LOL - Laughing Out Loud

LS - Liposuction

MTT - Mini Tummy Tuck. Only the skin and fat below the belly button is pulled and removed, while the belly button is not touched. A mini tummy tuck may or may not include muscle repair.

MR - Muscle Repair

PO - Post-op, Post-Operatively

PS - Plastic Surgeon, Plastic Surgery

Rhino - Rhinoplasty

ROFLMBO - Rolling On the Floor Laughing My But Off

TMI - Too Much Info

TT - Tummy Tuck
